PSIC MLB all dog 2014

Sports Investors,

In the end, California Chrome got the best trip and was the best horse at the Preakness although right on curling did put in an excellent effort. Now we'll see what happens at the Belmont.

Let's move on the baseball we do have one qualifying underdog for Monday's action.  However before we get to that there are a few announcements.

First, I'm going to make this short and sweet then get to the plays......several of you have asked when the next spot is going to open on the lifetime members program and our Horse racing profits program.  Thank you for your inquiries and yes there is a spot available in each. One thing to consider is that if you pay via paypal you may qualify for the "Bill Me Later" option where you have 6 months of no interest or finance charges.   That's one way you can take advantage of never having to pay for anything again, but not having to pay for it all at once.

Just a refresher, the lifetime members program is $1200 for sports only, and $1500 for sports and horses.  That's one payment and never pay again for anything.  Most of you who are in sports and horses have paid that in a single year anyway.

We didn't double our money last year on accident and we'll double it at least 2 times this year.   Anyone interested in the lifetime member spot just email me. I wanted to make sure to have this out on the blog as you guys often email that I haven't sent out opportunities to the blog like I do to existing members so this is your chance

On to our plays for today

PSIC ALL DOG VALUE PROGRAM 2014 (5-5) (+1 Units)

Risk 1 unit on: (1 Unit = no more than 1% of your BR)

Houston +180

2014 Preakness Stakes

Sports Investors,

We take a break from the grind of MLB to try to pick up some big units in one day with horse racing.  Today is the preakeness stakes, the 2nd leg of the horse racing triple crown.

THE PREAKNESS STAKES:  So, the question is......will California Chrome win?  Honestly, I'm not sure.  However, like in the Derby, there are some compelling reasons to bet against him.  If he wins, there will be no good payouts except maybe a trifecta if you get the right horses behind him but I'm trying to look at why he could lose.  Don't get me wrong, if he gets an easy trip like his last race, the party is over but I think there is some interesting things to look at as to why he may not win.

1. He just ran the longest race of his life (Derby)

2. He has never run a race on LESS THAN 1 months rest.  This is the one that has taken down many triple crown hopefuls.  To run the 1 1/4 mile Derby then come back 2 weeks later at the preakness.....what happens is, like any athlete....at the end of a race when your legs are burning in the Derby you can push through.  However, when your legs start burning up the backstretch in the preakness....sometimes the tank is empty turning for home.....

3. The last 2 prekness stakes actually were run where horses that use LATE energy  performed best.

4. Most of the field is fresher horses.  It's odd that only 2 of the horses in the Derby returned to run in the preakness.

So, what does that mean?   To me, it means that California Chrome is a top Colt but I still don't feel he's a lock in this race and you're going to get GREAT odds on nearly everyone else.  Here is who I'm looking at.  The key in a race like this is that you get some kind of investment value.  The rewards should be worth the risk.

#7 Kid Cruz - Before you laugh, here me out on this.   K.C. has made 2 insane late closing wins in his last 2 races and one of them was AGAINST a very tough speed bias which was VERY impressive.  The pace figures to be hot and this race favors late energy type horses and this one has the best closing fraction consistently.  IF, and i mean IF California Chrome is leg weary in the end, Kid Cruz will mow him down and at a VERY WORTHY price.

#2 General A Rod - Heading into the Derby, he had run 2 absolutely grueling races and just came up empty.  His works at Churchill were awful and I think you'll see a much better race today.

#5 Bayern - Interesting here because this horse won it's last but was Dq'd for brushing up on another horse in the stretch.  I like that it''s not afraid of a little contact and the team of Baffert / Napravnick wins a cool 50% of their races.   This will be one of the few opportunities to get a good price on that trainer / jockey combo.

#8 Social Inclusion - I like the horse but I don't rank him higher because his odds will be lower and I'm not interested in that.  I will toss him in some gimmicks.

I think if this race was run 10 times, California Chrome would probably win 4 of them so I want at least 8-1 on any horse I bet to win.  Here are some scenarios I'm considering.

**BET ANY OF THE HORSES ABOVE TO WIN AT 8-1 OR MORE

**IN CASE CALIFORNIA CHROME RUNS OUT:

EXACTA BOX: 2,5,7,8,10
TRIFECTA BOX: 2,5,7,8,10

IF CALIFORNIA CHROME WINS OR IS CLOSE

TRIFECTA KEY:  3 OVER 2,5,7,8,10 OVER 2,5,7,8,10
TRIFECTA WHEEL: 2,5,7,8,10 OVER 3 OVER 2,5,7,8,10
TRIFECTA WHEEL: 2,5,7,8,10 OVER 2,5,7,8,10 OVER 3

As always, play WITH  your head and not OVER your head.  Have fun and enjoy some horse racing.

PSIC 2014 MLB all dog friday

Sports Investors,

Its hard for me to think of anything more aggravating then going to bed with your team ahead 5 to 2 and 2 outs in the bottom of the ninth only to wake up and find out that your gas can toting closer pissed away the game and they lost 6 to 5.  That was Tampa last night.  It looked certain. We'd be 2-0 with nice underdog wins but instead we end up a split and profit the juice.  We have one dog so far for Friday.  There may be more added close to game time so it's up to you to come back to the blog and check.

PSIC MLB All Dog Value Wednesday

Sports Investors,

First the good......Kansas City was solid.  Now the bad.  If the Texas game was a boxing match it would have been called REAL early on a TKO.  Texas and the magic Mets were never in it.  A small step back but when you're playing all dogs, 1-2 is not the end of the world financially.

As we move to Wednesday just one play today.

PSIC ALL DOG VALUE PROGRAM 2014 (2-2) (+.4 Units)

Risk 1 unit on: (1 Unit = no more than 1% of your BR)

San Francisco Giants +115

MLB Value Program 2014 Tuesday

Hello Sports Investors,

Yes it has been a while since we last met.  I appreciate all the emails from you guys who like the blog and enjoy keeping up with the PSIC program right here.   There are a lot of exciting things happening as MLB is kicking into full swing for us over the next 4 months and last year our Horse Racing Profits program was 600 units to the good from May-October so a great time to be on board.

For MLB I'm doing an experiment and you're welcome to play along if you will.  I'm working on an MLB underdog program where basically we go the entire year and never play a favorite.  The testing looks good but you never truly know until you pick them for real.  So for the remainder of the 2014 MLB season, I'm going to post those picks right here.   I started this actually last night but posting from the Blogger mobile app it appears my post never made it through.   It ended up being a nice start at Minnesota got the job done for us at +130.

Money management?  That is the wild card here.  The win % looks very solid but how to manage the money will start off as labourchere but we'll need to see how streaky it may be.  There may also be times when there are no plays so if thats the case the blog will reflect it.  So.....let's get going....

PSIC ALL DOG VALUE PROGRAM 2014 (1-0) (+1.3 Units)

Risk 1 unit on: (1 Unit = no more than 1% of your BR)

NY Mets +105
Kansas City +105
