Playing in Baseball Lunacy 9/1915

It's September 1st.  Before I get to baseball lunacy I want to tell you a story.   I haven't been able to blog every day because I'm doing something that everyone of you has or will have to deal with and that is a sick parent.

All my life I've been a "fighter" so to speak.  I took limited size and talent to minor league baseball and who knows what would have happened had I not hurt my arm?  I always wanted to be the best.  In the casino business, I wanted to and was one of the best as a dealer, supervisor, pit supervisor....sports book....etc.   When I decided to leave all that behind because I was confident I could make my living playing the sports and helping others...I wanted to create something different.  I didnt' want people to call into some BS 800 number and get sold.  I wanted to put together a group of people who wanted to treat sports like an investment....you always strive to be the best.

So, these past few weeks as I enjoy, what has been told to my by the "best" in the field of medicine, the final times that I'll get to spend with my father it really made me think about life and my children and my children's children.  So while sitting at the hospital and the doctors offices I started journaling.  Just making notes about each sport and what I think is the absolute best way to attack that sport from a betting perspective.  Then the notes started turning into more of a book.

Then I tried to think of everything I've tested in each sport, how I tested, and what I knew to work....and not work so well.   Ever since I was in grade school I've had a passion for writing and reading.  I read a ton of things every day.  Like many of you....if you want to be the best in your field you have to try to stay two steps ahead of the curve.

So, out of what has been a very sad experience, I thought a lot about my own mortality and "what about my clients if something happened to me?"   Many of you who read the blog are not clients of Platinum Sports Investing Club so you may not understand what I'm about to say because your only experience in this business has been.....well.....with A-holes.   The thing is I am proud to say that I'm friends with many of my clients.  Maybe not in the sense that we hang out every day because they are in many other places around the world but I know their voice on the phone and I genuinely care about their well being.   Its a blessing and a curse.  

Out of my personal difficult experience, I've created a book.  It's something that those of you who may be interested can get and that way no matter what, you'll always have a very very solid starting point and a way to make money investing in sports.  What started as notes that I'd leave for my son should something ever happen to me, has become the TEAMPSIC Guide To Sports Investing.

I'm very proud of what it has become.  I've written books before but this is definitely the most comprehensive and the best of my work.    Anyone who is interested simply email me.  I don't know what the investment will be for it.  It won't be crazy.  It won't be $50 either.  But if you're interested email me and in the next day or two I can get you the details.  The one thing I'm sure of is that it will be worth EVERY PENNY and 50 times more!  Thanks for your time and the time you spend reading this blog!

NOW.....BASEBALL LUNACY.

Why is it baseball lunacy?  Because teams that should be -150 but have a sniff of playoff contention are now -220.  The good teams get stupid lines and the underdogs are way way over valued....I mean some of them are WAY over valued.......Then you add in......minor league call ups.  I hate minor league call ups and especially in the bullpen.

Some bad teams will improve and cash for us at +200, +300 because of those minor leaguers.  Some good team, that's in the playoff hunt, will free fall collapse and take ALL OF YOUR MONEY with them.   Historically, a team or two will get hot and get in, a team, kinda like what the Angels look like....where they were on the verge and now Tom Petty "Freeeeee Fallllin"  is playing because they can't buy a win.

This time of year is fairly tailor made for 1st five innings.  Take the bullpens out of play and try to hunt for some values.

Oh, by the way, FOOTBALL STARTS THIS WEEK!!!!!!

Platinum Sports Investing Blog Wednesday 8/19/15

Sports Investors,

I needed yesterday off as I have some things going on where it couldn't be helped.  When we last met, our Comp Play of the day was a nice underdog winner in Arizona....we took +1 run but didn't need it.
Still a nice win.

The football teams are starting to take shape and this is the last week for the pre-season NFL special pricing.  You snooze, You loose.

Platinum Sports Investing Blog 8/17/15

TEAMPSIC we ended up with a split on Sunday and finished the week 8-6.  Since we play low juice games we mad a small profit but none the less it's the 3rd straight week in the PLUS column.  We go for 4 in a row starting today!    That's what its all about.  Just trying to put weeks together on the PLUS side of the ledger.

On the Comp side, our over didn't come in and wasn't close so we didn't have to sweat it.  Our horses we had a small winner but overall ended up a small loss at Fort Erie.  The Horses For Life Paying members did end up in the BLACK yesterday courtesy of a 19-1 winner in the 3rd at Delmar.  I'm really excited about the week we're going to have in both sports and horses so don't forget to secure your spot with football just a few weeks away.

Well its been a good week for teampsic but yesterday was not so hot.  I tell you when we win and ill tell you when we dont and yesterday we were 0-2.  Still 7-5 on the week but we will look to todays games to make it a positive week.

Platinum Sports Investing Blog 8/15/15

Hello everyone.   Let's get right to business.  A week ago I offered those who weren't members of TEAMPSIC a discounted price to both save some money and make a LOT of money.  Since that offer, TEAMPSIC has gone a cool 7-3 as we're posting another positive week in the books.  Football is almost here and had you joined a week ago that bankroll would be getting padding for the great football run we're going to have.

The positive....we hit an $18 winner at indiana and had about an even night.

The negative... in testing, the MLB value methodology is about 55 percent and has a really nice ROI, however, we can't get out of her own way since I started posting on this blog and last night was just the culmination a horrible luck but we did get to witness a no hitter. Unfortunately it was the other team. I think I'm going to hold off on posting those plays and go more to a complimentary play in the day.

Typically when Ive posted the complementary Play of the Day on the blog, it is the play that just missed the cut for our paying members.

So we will continue in that direction and I will continue providing a complementary track each day.

Platinum Sports Investing Blog 8/12/15

Sports Investors,

Let's start with the Positive.  TEAM PSIC paying members had another positive day as we were 2-1 last night so 4-1 on the week.

On the blog side, we managed to do the near impossible.  We lost our 4th and 5th game this week in the 9th inning or extra innings.   Not easy to have the lead or tie going into the 9th and consistently lose but my Value selections have done exactly that.  It's frustrating but still a loss.   Lets look on the bright side.....maybe we've created another value system......Every play I list, go on live play and fade that team for the 9th inning....we'd be GOLD....lol

As for horses, no luck yesterday for us.  Indy has been a good track for us but not yesterday.
Our best opportunity was in the 3rd when our BIG ODDS #8 ran second and paid 13.80 to place...maybe next time.

It is Monday and this week the NFL pre-season kicks in to full swing after the Hall of Fame game last night.  It's always good to see the NFL back regardless of how meaningless the games are!

For us, we continue on as there is plenty of MLB to make money on.  There are plenty of places to find value and that's what we are after...the "GAME" this time of year is to guess who will flourish and who will flop.  I see the nationals as a disappointment and wish I could have pulled the trigger yesterday on Colorado at +245 because I liked that matchup.  Having the crystal ball is one part of the equasion and then having the brass balls is the other part.  You'll play some ugly teams but even the ugly team can get hot when there is nothing to play for so something for us to keep our eye on.

I wish we had something today, but there are no MLB value plays that qualify,

Well yesterday was certainly a lesson in not to get overly aggressive. Generally speaking the value model I've been creating would have called for us to take the +1 run line on some of those underdogs and it would have saved us on 2 of the three. I was feeling very confident and thought the money lines were the more aggressive but better play and it certainly cost us. However, on the flip side, when you're playing mostly dogs if you hit just 50 percent you're going to make a lot of money.

Platinum Sports Investing Blog 8/4/15

Hello Sports Investors,

Day 1 of the Value method testing was looking a lot like it would be 2-0 with a suspended game until San Francisco's relief pitchers came to the mound with a gas can and matches.  They snatched defeat from the jaws of a 6-0 lead.  Pretty impressive.  All the more reason why we, at TEAMPSIC, do not believe in laying big odds because quite frankly, none of the bullpens are worth it.

On the horse side, I didn't have much of a chance to tweet but the Horses For Life selections for Monday 8/3 yielded a $22 and a $70 winner at Saratoga.  So those of you interested in horses, there are still 3 spots left in the Horses For Life program so first come first serve...email me if you're interested.

Platinum Sports Ivesting Blog 8/3/15

Last week for Team PSIC was profitable at 4-2.  We are looking to build on that this week and pick up 5-10 units.

On the horse side, we had some good things go on late saturday night but yesterday was a mess until the very end.  We will right that ship starting today.

For a few more days I'm going to tweet out some of the Horses For Life advise especially since we did some major corrections yesterday afternoon on our data so look for that if you enjoy the ponies.

I always like to call August, over reaction month.  Lets look at Toronto / Minnesota.  I mean David Price is good but 0-2 in his last 3.  Now, having said that he does have the best lineup. but at -250?  Really?  I'm very tempted to take Minnesota except the books rob quite a bit of the value out of the dog in that scenario giving you only +200 at many places.

Speaking of value, I promised I'd start the launch of my value program testing and I'll be posting those plays right here on the blog.  You can play if you'd like or just follow along.  Once I get something nailed down it then becomes part of the @TEAMPSIC program.

PLATINUM SPORTS INVESTING BLOG 7/30/15

I can hear the crack of the pads for training camp, oh wait, that was before the players collectively bargained out and REAL Training camp.   Now they go to their "country club" pre season workouts.

Be that as it may, it's still a great time of the year and it's right around the corner.  Before that begins, there is still plenty of money to be made on bases.  It's a great time to get your TEAMPSIC monthly or annual plan in place.  This season, you have 2 options.  $495(best value) for our annual plan that gets your all sports or $99 monthly will get you 1 month of all our sports plays.

How about horses?  With the return of our horse racing program there are going to be some great membership options.  ONE OF THEM IS GOING TO BE REAL BOLD!  Our HORSES FOR LIFE option will state the following:  "If you purchase 1 year of our horses for life program, and we do not make 500 units of profit, you will never pay again and will automatically get Horse plays for life"

So what does that mean in reality?  Let's say the 1 year of Horses For Life is $395.   If you are a $2 bettor and you follow my advise, which will be tracked to the penny daily, and you do not profit at least $1000 = 500 $2 units....you'll never pay again.     So if you went to the bank and said, I'm going to give you $395 and a year from now how about if you give me back $1000 they will probably call security.    That's how serious I am.   AND THAT IS AN EXAMPLE FOR JUST A $2 PLAYER.  WHAT IF YOU'RE A $4 OR $10 PLAYER?

THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN I THINK I CAN MAKE 500 UNITS AND I KNOW I WILL MAKE MY CLIENTS 500+ UNITS PER YEAR PLAYING HORSES.  We've made 1300 units over a 2 year run before and it took me 7 months but I have this more dialed in down to exactly which tracks to play every season.

Horses FAQ #1 - I already see this coming.   Can I just put my plays in each day and go?  YES.  You do not need to monitor the odds.  However, you can make even more money if you have the ability to receive a text message.  Why?  When I do my inital scan I'm looking for 4 situations that have proven to yeild the highest average paying horses.  Then I'm looking for horses that I feel will go off at 7-1 or more and have a 3-1 chance to win.  So we would win 1 of every 3 but get paid 7-1 or more on our wins.  It doesn't take a genius to figure out that is very profitable.   However, sometimes in my initial scan I see a horse I like but project him to get bet down to 3-1 or 4-1 and so I pass him.  Then I check the race at 5 min to post and see that the PUBLIC is letting him go off at 15-1.  NOW HE IS A GREAT VALUE and those plays I want to be able to get to you as well because sometimes those are the best of all.  

There are other perks in the Horses for Life program.  On days where there are HUGE carryover pick 6 or special race days like the Breeders cup or triple crown races, we will put together rolling pick 3 wagers and other things on the side to try and take down some really big scores!

HORSES FOR LIFE KICKS OFF ON 8/1/15.  Thats the good news.  The bad news is there can not be more than 10 people.   Why?  Well if you know how horse racing works, its on a pari-mutuel system which means the odds for each horse are simply determined by the amount wagered on the other horses.  So if we have 50 people all betting the same horse, it will negatively impact the odds.

Those of you who grab a spot in horses for life, I strongly urge you to play offshore.  Have a twinspires or TVG account handy as a back up in case it gets close to post time....even better, if you life out of the US and have access to a betting exchange....I'm jealous because you will make a killing.

So let's start off with our horses yesterday. It ended up being about a break even with a very very near miss for Gulfstream and one of our races. On the experimental group side it was an absolutely epic day at Delmar.  I'm disappointed that I was dragged away from being able to post on Twitter because it's not very often that you hit four out of five races were the winner is $20 plus.  I'm very very excited for horse racing again with TEAMPSIC and I'm hopeful we can return to our ways of making 800 units in a year.

Now, what's talk about money management. Yesterday I had mentioned that this time of year is usually good for us so we are in an ultra aggressive mode. Ultra aggressive doesn't mean "stupid " but we are certainly trying to take advantage of any hot streak that come our way by using a method that is very simple but very effective and I call it...

THE 10% METHOD.

There are a lot of ways that you can do it but the nuts and bolts of it is this.  On the aggressive side, anytime you have a winning day the next day you raise your bet by 10% when you have a losing day you lower your bet by 20% unless you're already at your base bet. Now, this accomplishes a few things. Number one: this helps you to naturally raise your bet size into a hot streak. Number two: it also helps you to quickly reduce your bet size if you had a cold streak.

But you don't have to change your bed every day as I understand that can be very aggressive and can at times put more bankroll at risk then you probably want. However, you could decide to do it weekly. For example, start on Monday and make the same size wager all week and if at the end of the week you have made money and you had A positive week, you raise your bet by 10% for the next week. Or you could do it by a certain number of games. For example, if you started with a base bet of $100 today you could make that $100 wager for the next 10 games. If at the end of that 10 games stretch you had a winning 10 games you raise your bet by 10% for the next 10 games.  I think you all get the point.

The reason I like using this methodology is because sometimes the hardest thing to do is to know when to raise your bet. This method takes care of that for you. When you are hot you are raising your bet when you get cold you are scaling back those bets very quickly.
